Back into jdrama phase, meaning i’m home all day.  well that’s a lie, since i had to go out for work a few times, volunteer, BBT on friday night, and swimming on thursday…

anyways. i’m on a break from all the TV/monitor watching (ie, i’m waiting for something to finish downloading), so i decided to blog!!!!

i started watching this because i heard Oguri Shun was in it, but it turns out he’s only in the SP of it.  i’m glad i kept watching though because it made me laugh a few times:) it’s about Ganesha, and how he helps the main character, Mizukawa Asami get true happiness. he makes her do stupid tasks like “cut your nails, cook your own food, use your left hand, play tricks on someone you like”. the moral of this drama was to enjoy everyday, live life to the fullest, inspirational crap, etc.

has Horikita Maki in it, and a few other good looking boys. sorta cheesy though… cringed a few times…

Buzzer Beat
pronounced “boozer beat”. has Yamapi playing bball, something he only started a month before shooting started. halfway through the 1st episode, and he’s already topless… obviously, they’re trying to use his man boobs to attract more viewers. i love the opening song for this drama… Ichibu to Zenbu by B’z.

sorta watching Orthros no inu, going to start Burning Flame, and… Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu is still going on (altho there’s really no point in watching it for another 2 episodes at least)

i should really stop drama-ing and get out of my house more, but it’s so hot outside and my room is nice and cool because all the cars on 1st avenue ZOOMing past sorta works like a huge fan when i open my windows…

whip cream + chocolate shot glass + champagne

champagne was T’s birthday present. we popped it in some dark alley behind Ebisu and passed around, until we got scared by a dumpster diver.  i had an awesome night. hope you enjoyed your birthday party too, T!

i was bored so i made some strawberry lychee jello.
how to do: 1 pack strawberry JELL-O dissolved in 250 mL boiling water, followed by 250 mL Soho Lychee (i love Soho, it's probably my favourite after Malibu). easy. even i couldn’t screw that up.

the next day… after breakfast @Kings’ Cafe and dimsum immediately afterwards, we went to my house and tried eating the jello with spoons,

which wasn’t as satisfying as slurping them from shot glasses… 
 

also had some Polar Ice Maple Vodka… it wasn’t so great… actually, it was disgusting.  it left a really really bad aftertaste… might taste good mixed into maple syrup and eaten with pancakes!

after an adventure filled monday, it’s time to get back to work…

after working/volunteering/forced-into-slave-work at my parents’ restaurant for almost 10 years, today’s the first time that a baby smiled back at me when i smiled at her.  she waved her fat arms and legs in the air, while lying in her carriage, and laughed like she was having the best time of her life.  why can’t all babies be cheerful and clean like that, instead of the usual screaming, dirty kids with gunk in their hair and drool creeping down their chins that usually frequent my parents’ restaurant?

Spent my Sunday finishing Full Metal Alchemist!

it wasn’t bad, but sorta slow near the beinning until around episode 40.  the whole gate thing was pretty freaky, especially when the hands start coming out to grab the human.  not a perfect happy ending, which i quite liked.  gonna watch the 2009 version next. 

looks like rain today, so i’m gona stay home.

it’s been a long week full of Asian culture. Canada Day hot pot, picked up my aunt at the airport after waiting 2 hours, bummed around @ home watching Full Metal Alchemist, typed really fast at work (finally 3000+ cheques per hour!!!!), bubbletea, nightmarket.
