Day 3 was sorta the same as Day 2, ie. work. Day 4 though. Everything changed because I was on my own again. D, M, and I went for breakfast at Honey Honey Cafe and Crepery:

I had the one with the crab cakes and cheese. AND IT WAS MAGNIFICENT. D seemed to really enjoy the nutella crepe. The only thing was that the sausage that M ordered was deceptive – he expected 2 sausages, but got ONE that was cut in half! Oh well, he seemed happy with it.

I’m slightly buzzed off Icelandic beer right now (see the photo of Garun Iclandic Stout here, definitely one of my favourite beers… it’s a bit difficult to type accurately right now just because it’s 11.5% alcohol and WONDERFUL), and just thinking about how bad things just happen and plans don’t always work out. For example, I ended up traveling around San Francisco alone last weekend; car accidents; being forced to move, snow storms, feelings and what not. D gives great pep talks , and I really appreciate having him around sometimes, because he’s right – bad things happen and you just deal with it.

“i love louisa ng” H said through all these troubles we’re having.
It's already week 11 at the VFM!!! Found some apricots that were ready to jam (hehe):

So every week, there are some pretty cool food trucks. There was the week where Urban Wood Fired Pizza brought their own pizza ovens, Disco Cheetah and their Mexasian fusion food, and this week… I tried out Chou Chou Crepes:

Here’s the menu, the real French woman who runs the show was already running out of certain choices:

I had the Mr. Fred (ham, egg, cheese):

I was STARVING, so I apologize for the bad photos as I was focused on chewing this gooey on the inside, crispy on the outside, crepe made in heaven. The photo on the right was taken in an attempt to show the gooey mozzarella that oozed out of the crepe and ended up at the bottom of the bag.

Perhaps it was good because I worked up an appetite from all the manual labor at the market. Another reason could be that it was just amazeballs and this French woman knows her stuff. That cheese though...

Hard day’s work, I deserved a good meal.

the day after that…

T and A made strawberry oreo tarts and invited J and i over, after we splurge at Chapters.  maybe i should return some of those books… so expensive…

after that, we went to Gordon Park to walk Pocky!

A picked up Pocky’s poops with a plastic bag… and proceeded to throw it at T and i, while J was quick enough to run away. –_-

Went to Chura (my favourite haircut place!) for a haircut the other day with A. $35 for a haircut + styling + access to Japanese magazines. The girls&boys working there are all stick thin, and super stylish. A’s stylist had slimmer wrists than her!

She took off at least 6 inches. Also, notice the bangs.

For my cut (trim), I asked for 2 inches off, bangs, and many layers to create some volume. Sadly, I didn’t get any before or after pix because there’d be no noticeable difference. I think A finally realized why my mommy always gets mad at me after I get a haircut. It’s really not my fault that I get anxious if my hair doesn’t go past my shoulders though. Bad childhood haircuts have left me slightly traumatized.

We also had a discussion about long versus short hair, and we concluded that long hair is definitely better even though it takes forever to dry.

Then, we went to Konbiniya for “mochi-mochi” crepes. $5 each. Gotta try the Green Tea Ice Cream + Red Beans next time.
