CIOCCO GINGER NESPRESSO before I left the house, a bowlful of coffee before checking my emails at work, and CARAMELIZED HONEY LATTE STARBUCKS at lunch (it was way too sweet, and I could’ve  mixed honey and milk on my own…). I borrowed W's reusable mug. Isn't it pretty?!

I thought all the important people who buy our cameras would take the day off for Easter. COME ON PEOPLE. I suppose people in India, Indonesia, and Malaysia don’t all follow the same holidays. China has tomb-sweeping coming up this week though.

Listened to this at work today to block out all the other noises and distractions in the office. Had some of my favourite hits from 2013, and reminded me of Paradiso...

Today’s Negative Juju (in RED) vs Positive Vibes Brought to Me By:

1. Noticed 2 charges to my credit card on my online statement that I didn’t make - $500 at BestBuy, $200 at Newegg. WTF?! Somebody stole my info!

2. Spent what felt like hours trying to figure out the automated system for RBC.

3. RBC Customer Service is pretty awesome! I’ll be getting a new card before I leave for Chicago, and the charges will be waived!

4. Found the new rose gold necklace that I lost yesterday. Woot woot!

5. It was like a party in the hot room before we started class – there were 2 girls who would not stop chatting, not even whispering, and they were so loud the whole room echoed. We don’t want to hear about all the hikes you plan on doing. So rude. After they stopped, another pair of girls started whispering and somebody SHHHH-ed them. They kindly stopped. I guess the 1st pair of girls would’ve been too loud to hear the SHHHH, if anybody even tried.

6. Class was great. I released all my inner angst while warrior posing and falling over my balancing poses.

7. Came home, cooked, baked, and ate. Researched sunscreen. Don’t get anything with oxybenzone, and Neutrogena ain’t so great. Source: EWG

8. Decided to try Juice Beauty (wyneth Paltrow is the creative director of Makeup for this brand), and they sell it at Whole Foods around Vancouver. H sent me a 15% discount code to purchase over the web instead <3

9. I don’t have my credit card so cannot purchase online right away… My face needs SPF protection NOW!

5 Positives and 4 Negatives.All these first world problems. I think it’s still a good “me” day overall, and I’m almost ready for the upcoming week.

Hit up Acme Cafe with my LAG (little asian girl) crew, TPL and TAL (airport codes?) after 8:30AM hot hatha yoga at Chopra to replenish all the nutrients I sweated out. We were there more for the pie than the real nutritious stuff. The service was sort of lacking. Was the server hung over from Good Friday celebrations the night before? Who knows. I could’ve used some scrambled eggs instead of sunny side up (do hipster cafes not ask customers how they’d like their eggs done anymore?) and whipped cream or vanilla ice cream on the pie (bring my own next time?). So many questions. Perhaps my expectations were too high, and I’ve always had great service on previous occasions. I’d probably go back just for the pie. Make sure it’s takeout.

Needed some extra moisture after skiing. Great time to use the Sephora Pomegranate Sleeping Mask:

It’s anti-fatigue and energizing, AND it smells good. How could I not buy this again? This little package lasts 3-4 uses, as long as it’s kept in a cool, dry place, such as a mason jar in my room.

Heard a snippet of Porter Robinson's Sad Machine on somebody's Snapchat, at the Pacific Coliseum this weekend. I went last year when he was at the Vogue theater and I'm sure his show this weekend was just as amazing. Good ol' days, not worrying about dumb shit. I'm such a boring old fart now. Home by 11PM + 1 drink limit to make sure I can still operate heavy machinery. This YouTube link to it is just not the same as the live version.

I’m so tired of this constantly changing weather, and the weather reports that aren’t reliable. On the way to the cobbler yesterday, weather looked good, sun was peeping out, so I went out without an umbrella or a waterproof jacket.

Ran into Aperture Coffee:

Got a Flat White with a shortbread cookie, baked in house. Yum. They use Intelligentsia coffee, which I believe is roasted in LA. Very quiet nook to hang out, and a few others were in there studying at the large tables they had set up. There was a cozy area with a sofa in a corner by the front, and a bar close to the entrance. The shop is set up for every type of coffee setting that you would need. Strong coffee. Go again if I'm in the area and looking for a place to hang out.



You know how when you’ve got things to do, and you don’t do them because you’d rather watch TV or Youtube?

That’s not usually me, because I include TV and Youtube in my daily list of things to do. Finished House of Cards Season 4 today (took me only a week). Time to start applying to things I want to do this summer and continue learning more about ZERO WASTE. H doesn't want me to apply, because he wants to spend more time with me... Sorry dude.

What better way to wind down on a Friday evening than drinks at home?


Some people might disapprove of drinking alone, but I did open this with my family near me and poured them a little bit before coming back into my room to put this together.

Cracked open this Chocolate Milk Stout from Hearthstone Brewery (brewery in North Vancouver! Support the locals!), and slapped on a mask. AQ got me the Origins Bests – Mask Trio for Christmas, and I just got a chance to use the Clear Improvement mask:

Dries pretty fast. Feels nice, skin was smooth after. I might get this again, if there’s a sale. It’s only $31, but I’d rather try out some other masks (Glamglow???)


Here’s a bonus from the week. Popbar at Metrotown opened! I tried the matcha bar with dark chocolate dipped in hazelnuts:

Almost $6 for this little bit of sugar. Wouldn’t purchase again, even though it tasted good, it’s just not worth it.

I'm starting to feel more comfortable about the recent changes at the company. This week has been quite hectic, Traveling again in a month – Chicago! Any suggestions for places to visit/avoid?

Argan Infinity Lip and Cheek Creamy Oil in Everlasting Honey – Smooth and moisturizing, but my lips still flake so not moisturizing enough

Argan Enlightenment Illuminizing Veil – I don’t like shine and this glows like the sun

The Milk is really thick and gloopy, so it’s hard to pick up from the dropper. Love the way it feels though, definitely the most moisturizing thing I’ve put on my face in my entire life (combined with the 100% Pure Argan Oil). Maybe buy it again when it’s not $70 for a full size bottle of 30ml!!!

This has been one of the main things on my mind lately. Work has been pretty chill, lots of people that I don’t really agree with, but tis the life of corporations. Another person has resigned, another long time employee who seemed pretty happy. Was he? Am I? How should we proceed?
