Woke up at 7:30AM today. I can’t sleep in. So grouchy… Nespresso in a Starbucks reusable cup.

Actually had quite a busy day, so it was a good thing I rolled out of bed early.

Went to Bikram. Traveled downtown for a Zero Waste workshop (more on this later). Went to a friend’s place for nachos (click here for You Suck At Cooking’s demonstration of how to make macho nachos) and of course, to watch the Superbowl:

C had these little beers from Asahi, super cute size, but not really satisfying. Finished them in 1 gulp… I guess they’re perfect for the Japanese people who can’t really tolerate alcohol:

This was surprisingly satisfying though:

Queen Bey, Chris Marten, and Bruno Mars performing at the halftime in a very colourful, rainbow themed field. Is this because they legalized gay marriage in the past year? Side note - thanks Chris Martin, for opening for Beyonce.

4 more days. H likes to tag me in his photos, then hashtag #imissyou and #iloveu, wich my friends find “extremely surprising. We’ll never know when we’ll run out of time!

We hiked to Skookumchuk Narrows, and passed by Brown Lake:IMG_20151025_120858

We went to both North Point and Roland Point. Roland Point has a closer view of the rapids and kayakers were using this spot to enter the water: tumblr_nwqy20WWNG1rcp1ldo1_1280

These rapids only occur at certain times, when the tides are right (there’s a tidal schedule somewhere on the Internet).

You probably can’t tell what’s in the titanium pot on the right (H bought this pot for $70. SUPER lightweight), but we had instant noodles in there. Sardines to top off the noodles.

H was covered in sweat during this hike, possibly because he wore his Patagonia down puffer jacket the whole way. It was an easy hike.

Here a few places to look for hikes along the Sunshine Coast:

We went to pick up groceries at the IGA at Madeira Park afterwards for dinner:

Cedar Creek wine, tortellini, spinach, pepperoni sticks, and crushed up Ruffle cheese chips.

We still had not yet discovered a good coffee place. Coffee on the coast is watery and not effective. Will bring my own next time.

Made chocolate vodka strwbries in 3 easy steps:

Chocolate Vodka Strawberries

1. Soak strawberries in vodka for at least 12 hours.
2. Dip in melted chocolate.
3. Place on wax paper and cool in refrigerator.

Don’t they look sexy?! Yeah right.

There wasn’t enough chocolate to properly dip them, so they turned out really bumpy.   There wasn’t enough chocolate because I burned some of it while melting the first batch.  I burned the chocolate using a microwave. I really should not cook…

we cook.

made by T and M… and S might’ve helped a bit when he wasn’t too busy being a pain in the ass.strawberry + nutella + chocolate ice cream crepe

and then, it’s time to go sing K @ Millenium! The rooms there were pretty nice, and they had a lot of songs. 25% off right now (since Tuesday at least…)
 ^_^v

the next day…

G and i baked. never bake again with G. 1st she spilled the mix everywhere, and then… yeah. never bake with G.
happy brownies

the day after that…

T and A made strawberry oreo tarts and invited J and i over, after we splurge at Chapters.  maybe i should return some of those books… so expensive…

A picked up Pocky’s poops with a plastic bag… and proceeded to throw it at T and i, while J was quick enough to run away. –_-
